Twelfth MT Marathon 2017

MTM 2017 will take place between August 28 and September 2 at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), a leading Engineering and Science school in Portugal. It is a week-long summer school on Machine Translation and a gathering of Machine Translation researchers, developers, students, and users.

MTM 2017 is organized jointly by Unbabel, IST, the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), and the Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Investigação e Desenvolvimento (INESC-ID). It features:

  • MT Lectures and labs covering the basics and tutorials.
  • Technical talks about open source tools.
  • Hacking projects to advance tools or research in one week.

This year the topic is the use of deep learning for Machine Translation (“neural machine translation”). Registration is free but limited to 100 people.
